Microsoft - Fraudulent purchase and no help
I received a Paypal notification that $1622 was used to buy a gaming computer from Microsoft. I live in Indiana.
The computer was to be sent to Columbia, South Carolina. The package was shipped from Louisville, KY. Fortunately, I was able to start a return and the package was not delivered. The package was returned on Nov 24 to Microsoft in Louisville.
I have called the 1-800 number and it doesn't even work. It tells you to go online. I go online and it sends me to a technical dept. When I ask to be transferred to the Microsoft Store Dept, I keep getting the run around.
They told me I would have my money returned in 3 to 5 days. Then they said by 3 to 5 business days. Now they're saying 8 business days. They had no problem charging my account immediately but do not want to give a refund in a timely manner.
I have spoken to 4 different people just TODAY through 3 different phone calls. There have been at least 8 or 9 calls and I STILL do not have my money a WEEK after they received their product back.
User's recommendation: Be aware of Microsoft not helping with fraud and returns.
